Phoca Templates
I recently downloaded the Phoca T template after extensive research on a good template for a new website i've started. There is a lot of recommendations for Phoca on the net, alot of happy people. But for the last 4 or 5 days i can't for the life of me find how to adjust the main background, or body background, or in fact adjust anything to do with this template.
Am i just clearly missing something, or is it not possible to adjust these templates? I was under the understanding one of the main benefits about Joomla is how much you can edit the templates. But the last template i inherited on another website was also uneditable.
Any advice much appreciated.

It's all HTML, CSS and PHP.
As I always do, I recommend learning a bit about CSS. That will help you a lot in understanding how to modify a template.

I agree with Kristoffer. Some knowledge of HTML/PHP/CSS, even on basic level, would help you dissect your templates into elements and see what style rules responsible for what page elements.
Also, the famous Firebug plug-in for Firefox and Chrome is a great tool doing just that job for you: point your mouse pointer on a page element and it will display it's CSS styles for you along with the file name in which they reside. Easy-peasy, lemon squeezy
Speaking about templates from Phoca, Ian has a dedicated forum to discuss them. Please check it out at http://www.phoca.cz/forum/viewforum.php?f=35&sid=c8308a90bafea8a3babf057c65e44f76
Just my 2p.
