Working on multiple websites at the same time
Is it possible to set up XAMPP (localhost) with muliple Joomla websites without having to download Joomla for each website i am working on?
There seems to be some disagreement on the forums as to what is true. Some experienced Joomla users say you must download a new package of Joomla for each site. But to be honest there isn't much info on this topic, or i can't find any.

I see a week later no one has added a solution. The update on the issue is: i just downloaded a new package of J 1.7 for my new site and seemed to be working ok, but now i get this message "Infinite loop detected in JError" when trying to work between the 2 sites. Will update if i can sort this problem out.

I have two instances of J2.5 in my localhost. I work on one which was installed without sample content, and I keep the other one complete with sample content as a reference file. I am not experiencing any problems.
