As you might have read in my post about FLEXIcontent earlier today, I was hoping for front-end editing capabilities in the next version of the extension.

Now, I'm happy to announce that FLEXIcontent 1.5.3 will have front-end capabilities. The final version will be released later this week (Tuesday og Wednesday).

JoomlaWorks just released version 2.3 of their free CCK component for Joomla: K2.

The new version has a large number of new features. K2 extends the functions of the Joomla! core and makes it easier to submit and manage large content driven sites. Additionally, it makes it easy to manage users and give access to certain content items. You can also create custom content templates for the purpose of blogs, catalogs, news sites and much more.

Another great feature of this release is the improved SEO functions: K2 will now auto-append the first 150 characters of the item's text onto the "description" meta tag, if none is specified. It will also use any tags added for the "keyword" meta tag.

A new sh404SEF release, version 1.5.8.432, was published yesterday that natively supports the popular social networking extension JomSocial as well as the forum application Kunena.

If you are a Joomla website developer or consultant like me, you often need to create documentation for the websites you create. This can be a tedious task, and sometimes a repetitive one.

Anything Digital has released a new version of the SEF URL component sh404SEF.

Today's release of sh404SEF (V 1.5.5) has a full set of settings to customize the layout of your page title (at least for Joomla regular content). The default values are the same as the those for urls, but now you can change it to your liking.

The new version also includes a new layout and most importantly the new "similar urls" suggestions section.
